I finally reached the point where I can run a train around the complete railroad, albeit powered by a garage sale MRC DC power pack.  DCC is in the future, but not quite yet.

I have run all manner of diesel locomotives around the track looking for trouble spots - and I found several.  Mostly high spots between the dominos requiring leveling.  Also there are a few kinks  on some of the curves.

It's been 9 months of weekends and holidays off to get here.  I was so ready to see a train move around the complete railroad.  This is a Proto 2000 Alco PA and PB pulling a Walther's Super Chief dome and a Kato business car.  I even ran a lap after dark to see the effect of the PA's headlight, Mars light, and the tail lights on the business car.  Sweet.

(I need to purchase the photo software that creates real life depth of field.)
