These are Bachman Spectrum F40PHs from 1990.  I ran them once then removed the details and stripped the paint.  The factory finish was crappy.  I unpacked them 03/10, removed the hokey factory plow pilot, fabricated and new pilot and added a DA snow plow.  Also filled the oversized grab iron holes drilling new ones with a #80 bit and added scale grab irons and MU hoses.

The paint scheme matches the one one I applied to E8s last summer.  I added black pigment to the roof from the exhaust rearward but kept the loco fairly clean.  They still run very smooth.  I have to reconfigure the coupler mounting as they project too far out from the body.
