Working space is very tight, in particular laying 3 tracks in constant radius curves. I prefabricated the first 2 flex sections for each staging track, soldered the staggered joints, and installed.
The rail is fed through the outlet around the curve, joined to the existing track, and temporarily nailed into position. The next track section is prepped by extending the flex rail to leave open ties on the right hand side. The extended rail from the previous section of tracks is threaded into the tie clips.
Ties at the rail junction are trimmed to allow joiner installation. Once the track is joined and aligned, it is track nailed. Once tested, it is secured with caulk to anchor to the road bed.
All hidden staging is code 100 NS. Here is how the offset joints are created. (Before soldering, the rails on the outside walls are wire brushed with muratic acid and rinsed.)
