The next phase of scenery for the north end is the plaster cloth elements. The scene so far is that of a red-rock horseshoe canyon transition via bridge (yet to be installed) between the upper and lower levels. I am continuing the scenery downward to include the canyon floor. For this portion I am using plaster cloth to depict the transition to a different vegitation zone where greenery emerges in contrast to the starkness of the high desert.
Also, I need to allow for access to the back side of the canyon walls so I am creating in near wall of rock to act a view block.

The foam boards below provide backing for the crumpled paper under ayment of the plaster cloth hillside.

It ain't pretty but it is functional and it is hidden by the plaster cloth covering.

Next is a color base coat and ground color wash . There are more sections of the cloth to apply but that is after the canyon floor is installed. Also are more visual features of the dense foam board rocks above before staining and painting that section.
